With students returning to school next week, let’s look way back at one of Huntsville’s earliest principals. A.C. Bernath was the principal at Huntsville Public and the High School from 1900-1937 and was instrumental in shaping local educational policies. Who was your favourite Huntsville school principal? Last week we shared this photo with you:

Clark’s Cabins was on Main Street W and, as the sign says, offered dew worms, room and hot and cold (!) showers.
David Johns helped to pin down the location via Facebook: “When going west on Main west, after passing Tall Trees, there is a very sharp right hander. On your right just after taking the corner, was where Clarks Cabins was.” Thanks, David!

My Dad and I dismantled most of the cabins in the early 1960’s and salvage the material and two of the cabins were relocated to 16 Yonge Street I also recall helping Jim Callacott cut a few trees on this property also in the 60’s, we accidently hit a power line and broke it. This damage we had to cover the expense.
