Is your garden your pride and joy? Why not show it off?

The Huntsville Horticultural Society is welcoming back its very popular garden tour in 2019 and is looking for people who are interested in showing off their beautiful gardens.

The 2019 Huntsville Garden Tour, planned for Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature privately maintained gardens in the Huntsville area.

“We have a few people who are on our list already,” says organizer Debora Heath, “however, we are always looking for new gardens to visit and enjoy.”

Anyone interested in sharing their gardens with fellow garden lovers is asked to contact Debora Heath by email at [email protected].  Once the snow clears, if it ever clears, and the gardens pop up, the committee will come to take a peek. They will be trying to find a variety of gardens to put together for an awesome tour.

“We will look at all gardens and try to put together the best possible 2019 Tour and work towards fun and new gardens each year,” Heath says. The deadline is May 17, 2019.

The Huntsville Horticultural Society is over 94 years old and includes an active Junior Society as well. They have an annual Plant Sale, Garden Tour, and Spring and Summer Flower Shows.  Their members also regularly help plant the beautiful flower boxes along Main Street in Huntsville as well as help with fall clean up.  Many members also help to keep the weeds out of community gardens around town.

The group meets once a month from March to November and enjoys hearing a variety of guest speakers at each meeting. New members are always welcome. To find out more visit their Facebook page.
