Mark your calendars! Santa Claus and all his elves will parade through downtown Huntsville once more, after a two-year hiatus, on November 25, so expect to see Santa a little chunkier.
The Rotary Club of North Muskoka, in partnership with the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce, presents the 2022 Huntsville Santa Claus Parade on Friday, November 25, at 7:00 PM. The theme is Imagine Christmas.
“Imagine a community coming together as one and wishing only the best for each other. Imagine a world of love and peace,” says Rotarian Cheryl Kinghan, co-chair of the Huntsville Santa Claus Parade. “And imagine seeing the world from a child’s eyes.”
She says she hopes the parade inspires a sense of community and the meaning of the season after several difficult years of restrictions.
Parade entries are welcome. Anyone who wants to enter a float or participate in the parade is asked to submit a registration form by November 18. Registration is $50. After Nov. 18 it goes up to $75. Registration for charitable organizations, nonprofits, and service clubs is $20. Fees cover parade expenses.
Registration packages are available through the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce at 77 Main Street East (side entrance) in Huntsville, or online at rotaryclubofnorthmuskoka.com Please submit completed forms and payment to the chamber in person, or by mail to Box 5143, Huntsville, Ont., P1H 2K5, or by email to [email protected], no later than November 18, 2022.
The parade will travel along Main and King William streets from Lorne Street to the Huntsville Place Mall starting at 7:00 PM. Before the parade, floats will line up along Main Street West starting at 5:00 PM. Rolling road closures from Yonge Street to the mall will be in effect that evening.
