The Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police Detachment is reminding residents and visitors to the area to lock their vehicles when they park. They also advise motorists to remove or put out of sight any valuables.
Roll up your windows and lock the doors. Park in a well-lit area. Never leave your vehicle unattended when it’s running. A professional can steal your vehicle in just 30 seconds. And keep your vehicle proof of registration certificate and proof of insurance with you at all times. Don’t leave documents in the glove compartment.
Only give parking lot attendants your ignition key. Keep all other keys with you.
