On October 16, 2018, Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified by the town of Huntsville of significant damage done to the ball diamond grounds on Williams St.
Sometime between 4:00pm on October 15, 2018 and 7:30am on October 16, 2018 unknown culprits drove through the gap in the fence onto the ball diamond and tore up a significant amount of the turf surrounding the ball diamonds. The initial stages of the investigation found that there were two vehicles involved, one possibly a pick-up truck and the other a smaller sedan or SUV type vehicle. The total cost to repair the damage would be approximately $3,000.
