Huntsville OPP investigate 11 calls of domestic violence in one week

Detachment members investigated 11 domestic disputes between Monday, October 31, 2022, to Sunday, November 06, 2022. Charges were laid in relation to 4 of these11 investigations.

On November 10, 2022, officers responded to a domestic occurrence. The accused has been charged with assault contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear on December 20, 2022, in the Ontario Court of Justice, Muskoka.

On November 11, 2022, officers responded to a domestic occurrence. The accused has been charged with fail to comply with an undertaking contrary to section 145 (4)(a) of the Criminal Code. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear on December 20, 2022, in the Ontario Court of Justice, Muskoka.

On November 12, 2022, officers responded to a domestic occurrence. The accused has been charged with sexual assault contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear on January 03, 2023, in the Ontario Court of Justice, Muskoka.

On November 13, 2022, officers responded to a domestic occurrence. The accused has been charged with the following:

–      Assault with a weapon contrary to section 267 of the Criminal Code.

–      Two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking contrary to section 145 (4)(a) of the Criminal Code.

–      Break and enter contrary to section 348 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

–      Mischief to property contrary to section 430(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

–      Utter threats contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

The accused was held for a bail hearing on Nov 14, 2022. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear on November 29, 2022, in the Ontario Court of Justice, Muskoka.
