Huntsville OPP appeal for information in sexual assault investigation

Members of the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Muskoka Crime Unit have charged an individual in relation to a sexual offence.

On April 27, 2024, Huntsville OPP arrested a 35-year-old man from Tiny Township, with the following charges:

-Sexual assault

-Forcible Confinement

-Assault with a Weapon

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 11, 2024, to answer to the charges.

Investigators suspect that the accused uses various aliases online, including Jay and Jar, and are appealing to anyone with any information to call Huntsville OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

There is no statute of limitations on sexual offences and a report can be made to police at any time, regardless of how much time has passed. You can report a sexual assault be calling the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 9-1-1 in an emergency.
