At its AGM on Thursday, June 24, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation (HHF) welcomed Margaret Mah as its new HHF board chair for a two-year term. Margaret has been on the Huntsville Hospital Foundation board for the past four years. Margaret is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in Business Administration degree from the Rotman School of Management. Margaret is Director, Budget Administration and Institutional Planning at U of T and prior to this she was in finance and administration at the Hospital for Sick Children. Margaret has been a resident on Lake Vernon for the past twelve years.
Cathy McMurray was thanked and celebrated for her successful two-year term as chair. She will remain on the board as past chair for another two-year term.
Carolyn Watson was thanked and celebrated for her successful two-year term as vice chair and will take on the role of chair on the Finance and Audit Committee of the board.
The board said an emotional goodbye to board member and past chair Paul Thomas as he completed his terms with the board. Paul’s dedication and leadership was appreciated by both fellow board members and by staff for the past seven years. Paul was an integral part of the Foundation’s growth and success over the past seven years. He will certainly be missed. The foundation knows that he and his family will continue to be supporters and advocates for Huntsville Hospital and look forward to seeing him at its events and around town.
The HHF welcomed Huntsville resident Mike Harrower to his new position on the board as vice chair. Mike has been on the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board for three years. Mike is a multiple scholarship recipient, he was educated in Canada, Switzerland and England. He is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business, the University of Western (H.B.A) and the University of Reading, England (M.S.C. Urban Land Appraisal). As president and owner of Harrower Properties Inc., Mike brings over 35 years of business, management and development experience to the board.
