Muskoka Community Foundation will be accepting applications for a second round of granting from the South and Central Almaguin Education Fund from January 8, 2018 to February 2, 2018. The South and Central Almaguin Education Fund is intended to support high school students residing in South and Central Almaguin who due to financial constraints may not have the opportunity to attend a post-secondary education institution.
To be eligible, individuals must be a high school student, residing in South or Central Almaguin. Applications are open to students attending high school either in Almaguin or Muskoka. The applicant must be furthering their education at a post-secondary level which may include attendance at an accredited university, college, trade school or other accredited institution which leads to a degree, diploma or certificate upon completion.
Applications will be accepted from January 8, 2018 to February 2, 2018. Successful applicants will be notified by March 2. This early notification is intended to encourage students to apply to post-secondary institutions, knowing that upon acceptance to the institution of their choice they will have the funds to support their first year at school. Students are eligible to receive up to $5000 in funding.
