Huntsville Festival of the Arts is proud to announce a special Valentine’s Day performance by acclaimed local pianist Kyung-A Lee on Sunday, February 10 at 2:30pm at Trinity United Church Sanctuary in Huntsville.

Born in South Korea and now local to beautiful Muskoka, her passion for classical music has allowed her to study and perform internationally. With a burning passion for classical music that has taken her around the globe and to renowned schools including the Schubert Institute in Austria and the Mozarteum in Salzburg, pianist Kyung-A is in demand as a soloist and a teacher. Kyung-A Lee will also be accompanied by the celebrated and very talented Edmonton-based cellist, Amy McClary.

The performance will feature classical arrangements of tango instrumentals and the audience is encouraged to dress in red and bring their Valentine’s Day spirit for this anticipated performance.

In conjunction with the concert and to foster musical talent in Muskoka, Kyung-A Lee and Amy McClary will be offering a free masterclass for piano and cello players of all levels on February 9 from 2pm to 4pm.

“We’re so excited to offer this Masterclass. Education is central to Huntsville Festival of the Arts programming, and it’s an incredible opportunity for local musicians to learn from such incredible professionals like Kyung-A and Amy,” notes Dan Watson, Executive Director of the Huntsville Festival of the Arts. “I’m excited to see more exchanges like this between professionals and community members.”
