Four local men to be inducted to Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame this Saturday

Jon Burnside, John Cowan, Kenneth Donald, and Don Thompson will be joining local sports legends Don Lough, Mike Greaves, and Bill Nickalls, among others, when they are inducted into the Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame this weekend.

Kenneth Donald and Jon Burnside are being recognized for their tireless work and involvement with the formation of soccer in Huntsville, Don Thompson for his longtime work with Junior Lacrosse, and John Cowan for his ongoing efforts with academic and community sports.

All four inductees are well-deserving, having spent countless hours volunteering within the community over many years and they will be honoured accordingly.

The Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place at the Active Living Centre on Saturday May 14^th at 7:30pm. Tickets are available at Treasures and Trophies for $20.

In addition to the Induction Ceremony, the hall of fame committee will be awarding the Jan Glenn and Mike Greaves trophies to the Male and Female Sports Persons of the Year as part of the evening’s festivities.
