The small amount of recent rain hasn’t been enough: the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department reminds both residents and visitors that a total fire ban remains in effect for all of Muskoka.
The fire danger rating remains at extreme. No fires of any type are permitted. No fires are permitted for cooking or warmth, and no fireworks are allowed.
All non-emergency burn complaints should be reported to the bylaw department in each municipality. For Huntsville and Lake of Bays, those numbers are:
