Fayelenore Gardena Sibeon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fayelenore Gardena Sibeon (nee Gilchrist) on Wednesday, the 18th of October 2023. 

Fayelenore was born in Toronto, Ontario on November 7, 1941, to the late James and Eunice Gilchrist. 

Fayelenore married the love of her life, Bill Sibeon on July 14, 1962, in Ajax Ontario. 

They moved to Huntsville, Ontario in 1974 having purchased Fairy Lake Cottage Court. From there they became the owner/operators of Al’s Taxi for over 40 years. 

Fayelenore cherished her winters at her Florida home, enjoying golf and the many activities the park had to offer. 

Fayelenore is survived by her three children;  Karry-Lee (Rob) Racki, Billy (Kellie) Sibeon Jr., and Leanne (John) Webster,  her grandchildren;  Vlasta, Joey (Anna), Adrian (Madison), Jeffrey (T’airah), Jessie, Samantha (Trevor), Tasia, Kendra, Nathan and Island and her great-grandchildren Jackson, Frankie, Charlie, Sophia, Darwin, Frankie, Arlo and Remi. 

Fayelenore is predeceased by her brothers Bill and Ray. 

She will be missed by many friends and family members who knew her warmth and kindness. 

A  Celebration of Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion,  21 Veterans Way,  Huntsville on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 12pm-3pm with words of love being said at 2pm.   All are welcome to join us in celebrating and remembering all the joy and love Fayelenore spread. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. www.mitchellfuneralhome.ca

    I was so sorry to read about the passing of Lenore. Have many fond memories of her from Ladies night at Deerhurst Inn, chats at This Is It while getting hair done & at school events she attended supporting her grandchildren. Although we all have this appointment it still hurts when it happens. 🙏🥲
