Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the area.
Strong winds gusts of up to 70km/h are expected throughout the day, ending sometime this evening.
Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause damage or injury. Winds gusts can fell trees or soft shelters, tents, and awnings outdoors. Isolated power outages are also possible.
