10:22 AM EST Monday 26 December 2022
Weather advisory in effect for:

  • Huntsville – Baysville

Winter weather travel advisory in effect for today.

Hazards:
Additional snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm by this evening over a few areas.
Reduced visibilities due to heavy snow.

Timing:
Continuing through this afternoon.

Discussion:
Lake effect snow from Georgian Bay is expected to continue this morning and afternoon. Some areas are expected to receive additional snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm by this evening. Blowing snow may also accompany the snow.

Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
