On November 05, 2022, members of the Huntsville OPP responded to a call of a car travelling in the northbound lanes of Highway #11 being driven erratically. The car was located by OPP going northbound on Highway #11 and stopped in the vicinity of Highway #60 in the Town of Huntsville.
As a result of the investigation, Victor BETTS (72 years of age) of Emsdale, Ontario was charged with the following:
– Operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood contrary to section, 320.14 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
– Operation of a motor vehicle while impaired contrary to section 320.14(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.
Mr. BETTS was released from custody and is scheduled to appear on December 20, 2022, in the Ontario Court of Justice, Muskoka.
