The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department responded to a structure fire at approximately 1:30 a.m. this morning.
The 2 1/2 storey heritage home, known as McFarland House, was fully engulfed in fire when crews arrived. There were no occupants home at the time.
The home was a complete loss and damage is estimated at $450,000. The cause of the fire is listed as undetermined and is not considered suspicious.
