Drug conviction the result of rowdy 2021 Limberlost party

A noisy party on Limberlost Road led to multiple convictions in a Bracebridge courtroom last week.

Appearing virtually, Kia Riaz-Sadri, 26, of Toronto pleaded guilty to drug possession and violating court orders by being in the driver’s seat of a tow truck.

Court heard that on July 4, 2021 the OPP received multiple noise complaints regarding a party with a DJ on Limberlost Road.

Police attended at 3:50 a.m. and they found Riaz-Sadri in the driver’s seat of a tow truck along with 3.6 g of cocaine and 8 g of MDMA.

Court heard that Riaz-Sadri was not allowed to be in care and control of a tow truck, stemming from previous charges.

The judge agreed to a joint submission to suspend the sentence and order two years of probation.
