If you’re ever craving a carefully curated selection of charcuterie but don’t have the time or the eye to select and create a beautiful arrangement of your own, Lauren Lefler of Dockside Charcuterie has you covered.
Lauren creates to-go charcuterie boxes with free delivery to your Huntsville or Lake of Bays home, or outside of these areas for a small fee.
“I just think there’s a need for delivery food here in general,” Lefler says. “Sometimes you want something special for a milestone or occasion and I can help with that.”
Lefler grew up in Toronto, but after she and her partner welcomed their son, Bennett, they sold their home and moved to Huntsville to be closer to family.
“Father’s Day rolled around this year and I wanted to have a charcuterie board delivered for my partner but I was surprised that there weren’t any businesses doing this here in Huntsville,” she said. “I realized that if I was looking for one then there must be tons of other locals and cottagers doing the same.”
Lefler decided to take a chance on her business idea. Her partner works in e-commerce and helped set up her website.
She launched Dockside Charcuterie in the first week of July and has already been receiving a steady stream of orders through both Instagram and her website.

“I love eating as well as cooking for people but that’s slowed down since my baby was born so it has been fun getting back into it. I just love seeing others get excited about food,” she says. “My friends back home and I loved putting together charcuterie boards so whenever I make a box it reminds me of spending time with them.”
The charcuterie boxes come in three sizes and price points. Each box includes cheeses, meats, fresh fruit, dried fruit, nuts, chocolate or another sweet treat, pickles, olives, and a dip like honey or craft mustard.
She’s excited to make Huntsville her family’s forever home where she can continue to grow her business.
“I would love for this business to get bigger and I am motivated to be self-employed in Huntsville,” says Lefler. “I never thought I’d leave the city but we are building a house here now and being immersed in the community I now know it’s for sure our permanent place.”
Lefler can accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free diets, and other preferences. Orders must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Hello Bill & thank you for your kind words David. Lauren here – the owner of Dockside Charcuterie. We offer a vegetarian option at no additional charge, all you have to do is use our order form on our website and you will see the vegetarian option is there! Thanks you!
I think this young lady has an exciting idea that fits well with family or friends getting together. Huntsville area is such a fantastic locale for all seasons entertaining and her services will both ease the hosts’ timeliness and, most likely, present variations on charcuterie boards for all concerned. We all seem to be quite regular on what we present, so the changes will be welcome.
The boxes presented are quite attractive and, I am quite sure a plant based offering could be available, should one ask.
What , no plant based option .Unfortunate !
