District tax increase this year is 1.54 per cent

 

Muskoka residents will see an overall 1.54 per cent tax increase on the District portion of their municipal property taxes in 2019.

The increase translates into an impact of approximately $13.30 for a property valued at $300,000 in Muskoka.

District Council approved a $124,831,006 tax-supported operating budget earlier this week. The 2019 budget focuses on maintaining existing services and service levels across the District, while continuing to invest in transportation infrastructure, affordable housing, long term care and other Council priorities.
