District stops mailing social assistance cheques due to ongoing postal disruption

 

Due to the ongoing postal disruption, The District Municipality of Muskoka has stopped mailing social assistance cheques effective Monday, November 26th, 2018. Instead, cheques will be available for pick-up from District Community Services offices on an interim basis.

Cheques will be available for pick up as of Tuesday, November 27th at the following locations:

  • 141 Main Street, Gravenhurst (District of Muskoka Community Services Office)
  • 70 Pine Street, Bracebridge (District of Muskoka Community Services Office)
  • 1 King William Street, Unit #5, Huntsville (District of Muskoka Community Services Office)

Hours of Operation:

All of the above offices open at 8:30 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. daily.

Please note that the November dental benefit eligibility cards will remain valid until December 31st for Ontario Works clients.
