Huntsville residents who are concerned or affected by the 2019 flooding are advised of upcoming meetings to be held on June 12, 2019 at the Algonquin Theatre, 37 Main Street East, Huntsville ON.
Huntsville Town Council will be hosting a special council meeting at 6:00pm to review the 2019 Flood Event. In addition, residents are also able to provide public comment or ask questions about the flood online through the Town’s community engagement flooding page at myhuntsville.ca.
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will also be hosting a public information session at 7:00pm to give a presentation on the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians program. The session will include information on eligibility criteria, support documentation requirements, and how to apply. After the presentation, residents will have an opportunity to speak with staff from the ministry and to ask questions.
