Brody Gallagher

Brody Gallagher, 28, passed away suddenly from a medical event on May 10, 2026.

Brody is survived by his parents, John and Lynn Gallagher; his sister, Nicole Broadbent (Sam); and his brother, Jordan Gallagher. He was the beloved grandson of Esther Hannaford and the late Gerry Hannaford, and the late Charles and Patricia Gallagher. He was a proud uncle to Amelia and Vance Broadbent. Brody will be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He also dearly loved and cared for his cats, Marley and Jacky.

He enjoyed playing basketball, guitar, and skateboarding in his youth. He was very artistic and created many original pieces of art. Brody was a poet who composed hip hop songs under the name “Slakkrythm.” He had a mischievous smile, a good sense of humour, and a caring nature. He liked to help others and volunteered at the Food Bank.

The family would like to thank all of the police, EMS, doctors, nurses, and professionals who helped Brody over the years.

As well, the family would like to thank all of the first responders who acted quickly and searched so diligently for Brody.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. Please check back for details.

Donations in Brody’s honour may be made to the Table Soup Kitchen Foundation or Mind-Aid Muskoka.
