ATV driver charged after rollover

On Saturday July 1, 2017 around 9:30pm Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Muskoka EMS were made aware of an ATV rollover at Jingo Lake Road and South Waseosa Lake Road in the town of Huntsville. Emergency Services located female between two trees but initially was not able to locate the driver or the ATV.

It was determined that the driver had left the area and taken the ATV back to get help. Investigation found that the driver had been driving the ATV at a high rate of speed and that he had been drinking. As a result Brandon GOSSEBYRNE (20yrs) of Brant County was charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. The female passenger was transported to a local area hospital with non- life threatening injuries.

The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on August 2, 2017 to answer to his charges.
