Alzheimer Society of Muskoka wants you to make your coffee count

To make your coffee count, consider supporting the annual nationwide Coffee Break fundraiser in support of the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka. They are currently reaching out to the local community in search for participants to partner with to host a fundraiser in benefit of the society.

The Coffee Break campaign provides community members and customers from the host locations with the opportunity to purchase and personalize a coffee break icon: coffee cup or forget me not for any denomination. Host locations are welcomed to display icons in store front or in a high traffic area to help create awareness. 100 per cent of the Coffee Break proceeds go to the Alzheimer’s Society of Muskoka.

Your Coffee Break can be held at a time that is most convenient for you. As a host, you have the freedom and flexibility to tailor your event to your location! You choose the event you would like to host: it can be a trivial event or you could plan a Coffee Break extravaganza. Every contribution counts!

Previous Coffee Break hosts have had success by:
• Serving coffee to staff, customers, friends, or family in exchange for a donation
• Holding a bake sale or lunch In
• Holding a draw or an auction
• Inviting musical entertainment
• Dressing up, dressing down, or establishing an event theme
• Hosting a workplace challenge
• Combining Coffee Break with a pre-existing meeting or event
• Yard Sales and silent auctions
• Holding a Car Wash

The Alzheimer Society of Muskoka will deliver a complimentary kit of supplies for your event, including a donation coin box, balloons, promotional material, Alzheimer informative brochures, coffee, and Coffee Break icons.

The Alzheimer Society relies upon the generosity and support of our community in order to better support the individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias, as well as their affected care partners and families. The Society provides support services, education, public awareness, funding for research, and advocacy. Funds raised by local Coffee Break hosts go to Alzheimer Society of Muskoka to help support our community members.

Any way in which you can assist us in our Coffee Break campaign would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration!
