On Thursday December 1, 2022 at approximately 11:50 a.m. members of the Almaguin Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint in the Village of Sundridge.
Officers patrolled the area and located the vehicle on Main Street and conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation revealed that the driver had been drinking.
Police arrested and charged Jason COTTRELL 50 years-of-age of Strong Township with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus), contrary to section 320.14(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday January 12, 2023 in Sundridge Ontario.
