At their March 11 meeting, Lake of Bays councillors were presented with their 2024 remuneration and expenses statement for the period ending December 31, 2024.
The report provided by Lake of Bays Director of Finance/Treasurer Patricia Allen is mandated under the Ontario Municipal Act.
Ontario municipalities must release annual statements detailing council members’ remuneration and expenses (as mandated by the Municipal Act, 2001, Section 284) by March 31 to enhance transparency and accountability to taxpayers. See the chart below from the Township of Lake of Bays:
