Vigil to be held at Kent Park on Sunday, Feb. 22 in support of the people of Tumbler Ridge

Residents of Huntsville and surrounding communities are invited to gather for a Candlelight Vigil in support of the people of Tumbler Ridge. The vigil will take place on Sunday, February 22, at 6:30 p.m. in Kent Park, located in downtown Huntsville at the corner of Main Street and Brunel Road.

This gathering offers a space for reflection, solidarity, and collective support as our community stands with Tumbler Ridge during this difficult time. All residents, visitors, and local organizations are welcome to attend.

Participants are encouraged to bring a candle or an LED to help light the park in a shared expression of unity and compassion.

For community members wishing to show support but unable to attend, a moment of reflection from home at the same time is also welcome.

The vigil is a grassroots initiative being organized by Lisa McIlmoyle, a retired teacher and local artist.
