Planning is well underway for the 2015 National Women’s Under-18 Championship taking place November 4-8th, 2015 at the Canada Summit Centre. The Host Organizing Committee (HOC) is currently seeking volunteers to fill several positions during the tournament. “We are looking for committed individuals interested in having some fun while contributing to the success of a Hockey Canada National Championship. This event will not only bring national attention to our community but also leave a lasting, positive legacy for the local development of women in sport,” says HOC Chair, Wendy McConnell.
The success of the event will depend on the help of volunteers, those willing to commit to 20 hours or more over the duration of the championship will receive a complimentary event jacket. The HOC has volunteer opportunities in the following areas: security, game operations, accreditation, media & communications, ticket sales and special events.
The Women’s Under-18 Championship is one of eight Hockey Canada national events. Elite female athletes from across the country take part in the National Women’s Under-18 Championship aiming for the ultimate goal, to one day play for Canada’s National Women’s Team.
