Third annual TriMuskokan another sold out success

They came and they did it and that, according to organizers of The TriMuskokan, is the point.

Billed as an event and not a race, the annual home-grown triathlon, now in its third year, is as much about the newbies as it is about seasoned athletes. It’s about doing something you never thought you could do and not worrying about how fast you do it.

There are supportive volunteers at every corner and participants often share words of encouragement as they cross paths. It’s perhaps the least competetive ‘race’ you’ll ever attend, and that’s likely why it sells out every year – individual entries are capped at 300 to ensure a great experience for everyone. More than 100 of this year’s participants were first-timers.

While you consider whether you’ll be one of them next year (watch for 2018 registration details here or on Facebook here) get a feel for what it’s like in the photo galleries below. Results are posted at the end.
