Town of Huntsville to share flowers with community

UPDATED: Residents can pick up the flowers between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. while supplies last.

The Town of Huntsville is inviting residents to take home a piece of summer beauty! From October 14 to 17, 2025, the zinnia flowers from the Town’s downtown floral displays will be given away to the community at McCulley Robertson Recreation Park.

“We’ve had a number of residents reach out asking for seeds or flowers, and we’re thrilled to be able to share them,” says Tina Scott-Burns, Manager of Parks and Cemeteries for the Town of Huntsville. “It’s a great way to celebrate the end of the growing season and spread a little colour into our community.”

These vibrant blooms have brightened the streets of downtown Huntsville all season long, and now they’re ready to find new homes in residents’ gardens. Supplies are limited, so it’s first come, first served. Pick up will be at the parking lot on the turn of Williams Street between the Rotary Skateboard Park and McCulley Robertson Recreation Park.

Community can pick up the flowers in the area market in red. Quantities are limited.
