Town of Huntsville issues Capital Construction Program update 

From the Town of Huntsville

As outlined in the Town of Huntsville’s 2024 Capital Construction Program, the following projects have begun:

Streetlight Replacement on Dara Howell Way has begun this week, and existing streetlight poles have been removed. Residents and businesses should exercise caution in the area at night, without the streetlights, until the new lights are installed and completed by the end of July.

Additional road reconstruction activities are planned for the following roads, and residents can expect crews in these areas later this week:

Silver St (West Rd. to Thunder Bridge Rd.). Road work will begin Friday, July 12, 2024, to prepare for a new asphalt road surface along with ditching.

East Elliot St (Yonge St. to Wilmontt St.). Road work will begin Friday, July 12, 2024, to prepare for a new asphalt road surface, catch basins, storm pipes and ditching.

Kitchen Road South (Main St. W. to Cairns Cres.). Road work will begin Friday, July 12, 2024, to prepare for an asphalt overlay to help improve the surface until it can be reconstructed in the coming years.

By-lock Acres (Full Road from West Browns Rd.). Road work will begin Friday, July 12, 2024, to prepare for road resurfacing and stormwater work.
