With harvest time upon us, The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation is asking community members to donate homegrown produce for the people they serve.
The Table has raised garden beds in its parking lot to grow fresh produce but it only has so much space, notes Emily LaRose. She said The Table started the Plant a Row Grow a Row initiative which encourages the community to plant and grow a row of produce in their garden to set aside for The Table Soup Kitchen and Food Bank “so we can continue to provide the community with fresh and nourishing produce.”
She said they take donated produce of all kinds. From “food grown in our raised garden beds, as well as produce from our Food Rescue program and give it to our Food Bank guests and cook with it in our Soup Kitchen.”
If you have produce from your garden that you can donate, please contact The Table at 705-783-5827.
