Tasso Lake Heating enters new partnership to better serve its HVAC customers

A new partnership between Tasso Lake Heating Solutions Inc. and The Martino Group of Companies will offer HVAC customers in Muskoka a more timely response for their service needs.

Tasso Lake Heating Solutions is a well-established, Muskoka-based heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) company that installs, replaces, and repairs HVAC equipment at both residential and light commercial properties. In addition to homes, Tasso services car dealerships, condominium buildings, stores, medical buildings, and more.

“It’s a very stimulating environment to work in,” said founder and owner Jan Sirek. “With the influx of people moving from Toronto, there’s a real demand for people to upgrade their cottages and homes and improve the energy efficiency of their spaces. It’s created a huge market for us as these places are often older and need to be serviced.”

Sirek started Tasso Lake Heating Solutions Inc. in 2012 with a team of just three people. It has quickly grown to 22 employees. He comes from a tech background and after cottaging in Muskoka for much of his life he and his family made the move here permanently 15 years ago.

The Martino Group of Companies is a group of HVAC companies that has combined sales of more than $35 million annually, and has a proven record of delivering high-quality installations and services. Martino has more than 200 employees and has offices across southern Ontario.

Sirek wants the community to know that the collaboration with Martino is a partnership not an acquisition. Not only have their technicians retained their jobs, but Tasso is now able to hire even more people.

Although they are now working collaboratively with Martino, the management structure and staffing at Tasso will remain the same and customers will continue to receive the same high-quality personal service.

“One of the biggest realities, especially with COVID, is that businesses are at risk,” said Sirek. “A lot of businesses are stretched financially because of the challenges of COVID. With this new partnership, our employees now have even greater job security and we will be able to more easily navigate through the inevitable ups and downs of a business. People can have confidence that Tasso Lake is here for the long haul. We want to be our clients’ trusted advisors and ensure they have confidence that we’re going to be here for them in the future.”

The partnership will allow Tasso Lake Heating Solutions Inc. to continue to grow and to expand into new market segments in Muskoka and the surrounding area.
