Who remembers this business on Huntsville’s Main Street? It appears to have been located across from Toronto Dominion Bank, as shown by the reflection on the window.

Betty and Al Bowry created and operated this business in the late 60’s , it was situated between The Now Shop and Huntsville Sub, exactly across the street from the Toronto Dominion Bank. In 1980, the store was moved across the street to where the Olive Oil shop is now. The Bowrys constructed a new building which would become a home to a hair dresser on the very top floor, Huntsville Sewing Centre on the street level and then The Music Box on the lower level. The Music Box operated until 1998, Huntsville Sewing Centre closed shortly after that. The building that is in the photo is now where the Algonquin Theatre is.
It was the only place in town to buy musical equipment or supplies. Cripple Creek replaced those services afterwards.. It’s unfortunate that they’re gone. Now you have to drive to Gravenhurst for equipment and supplies.
