Wayback Wednesday, sponsored by Jamie Lockwood, broker/owner of Sutton Group Muskoka Realtywith family roots of more than 100 years in Huntsville

We don’t have much information about this photo other than the Sears sign, which appears on the building at 104 Main Street East. Do you know what year this might have been? Sears in Huntsville was historically located at 96 Hanes *Street (not Road). On June 22, 2017, Sears Canada filed for creditor protection after years of financial struggles. On January 14, 2018, the company closed its remaining stores. The department store chain had been in business since 1953.

Do you have interesting photos to share of days gone by? We’d love to see them! Email: [email protected]
