At the Huntsville Rotary luncheon on June 18, MPP Graydon Smith presented Rotarian Peter Redwood with the King Charles III’s Coronation Medal for his decades of volunteering.
“As you all know, the King and the Queen were coronated on May 6, 2023, and that was a very, very special day for us as a Commonwealth nation, and to celebrate that, there has been a Charles III Coronation Medal that has been bestowed upon a number of Canadian citizens, some of them in the armed forces, some of them in the public service, some of them in various walks of life that have done great things,” explained Smith.
He recognized Redwood for dedicating his time and energy to the community through various volunteer roles and always being ready and able to help where needed.
Redwood said it was an honour. He said volunteering is part of his upbringing. He said he’s been active in his community and volunteering for almost five decades. He thanked his family for their support and said he would continue to volunteer as long as he can, to applause from Rotarians, family, and friends.
