December 23, 1935 – October 8, 2025
It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of Bob Waldock on October 8, 2025.
Bob is survived by Carol, his loving wife and partner of 66 years, very dear friends, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
Bob had a forty year career in banking, starting in Toronto at Canada Permanent where he met Carol. After they were married they were transferred together to Sault Ste. Marie to assist in opening a branch there. They lived there for a short time, then both were transferred back to Toronto. Bob later went on to United Trust, Royal Trust, and Household Trust.
Bob enjoyed jazz and classical music. He loved the cottage on Lake Vernon and the condo in Huntsville where he and Carol spent happy years together. He was an avid reader, and a lifelong “car guy.” Bob was interested in sports – baseball, football, hockey, golf. He enjoyed good conversation. He really enjoyed a good glass of wine. And, so much more. Bob was a lover of life.
Bob will be greatly missed. He leaves a legacy of kindness, integrity, and memories that will long remain with those who knew and loved him.
In memory of Bob, please consider a donation to the Algonquin Grace Hospice, 100 Frank Miller Drive, Huntsville, ON, P1H 1L7 or a charity of your choice. Messages of condolence can be left at www.billingsleyfuneralhome.com
