Approximately 270 kids of all ages – literally all ages as registration is open to anyone from the age of 6 to 96 – competed this past weekend in the annual Muskoka Kids Tri swim-bike-run fun challenge in Port Sydney.

Distances range between 50m swim / 3.2 km bike / 700m run for the 8 and under age group to 400m swim / 12.4 km bike / 3.2 km run for the 15 and older age groups.

The fastest person on the long course was Port Sydney’s own Josh Stevens, racing in the Open 19-39 category, with a finish time of 43:46.

Age 7 – 36 entrants

First: Shane Sutton of Barrie, Second: Jaxon Collins of Utterson, Third: Amelia Koopmans of Barrie

Age 8 – 40 entrants

First: Daniel Parry of Port Sydney, Second: Duncan Gray of Seguin, Third: Lucian Vilchez of Barrie

Ages 9-10 – 61 entrants

First: Jordi Vilchez of Barrie, Second: Madison McDermott of Oro Medonte, Third: Grace Koopmans of Barrie

Ages 11-12 – 52 Entrants

First: Astrid Bergman of Toronto, Second: Sam Richter of Port Sydney, Third: Cohen Martin of Hanover

Ages 13-14 – 33 Entrants

First: Derian Free of Fonthill, Second: Ian Markham of Huntsville, Third: Judah Meaker of Port Sydney

Ages 15-18 – 3 entrants

First male: Andrew Markham of Huntsville, First female: Ainsley Herr of Huntsville

OPEN 19-39 – 20 entrants

First male: Josh Stevens of Port Sydney, Second: Paul VanWiechen of Ajax, Third: David Koopmans of Barrie

First female: Raylan Jamison of Huntsville, Second: Laurie Koopmans of Barrie, Third Sarah Pakozdi of Port Sydney

Masters 40+

First: Peter Turk of Toronto, Second: Mark Graham of Stouffville, Third: Tracy Marshall of Huntsville
