By Community Living Huntsville

Are you ready to take your talent to the stage?

Contestant registration for Huntsville’s Got Talent opens Thursday, December 5, 2024. Registration is free and open to North Muskoka community members of all ages, talents, and abilities. No stage experience is necessary. Full details are available at www.huntsvillesgottalent.com.

Contestants must submit their registration forms and audition videos by Friday, January 3, 2025.

“This fun and welcoming talent show is a chance to show off your skills, build your confidence, and maybe even win some newly increased cash prizes,” says Jennifer Jerrett, Event Coordinator for Huntsville’s Got Talent. “Whether you sing, dance, play an instrument, juggle, tell jokes or have another unique talent, we would love to see what you’ve got.”

Judges will announce 9 finalists from the auditions, plus a shortlist of wildcard contestants, on Monday, January 6, 2025. The public can then vote online for 1 last finalist from the wildcard contestants by Monday, January 13, 2025. All 10 finalists will then perform for the judges live on stage at the Algonquin Theatre on Saturday, February 1, at 7:00 PM, in front of an audience.

First place prize is $1,500, second place prize is $500, and third place prize is $250.

“It is such a supportive crowd – everyone is there to cheer you on. The show is about celebrating our talented community and having a great time together,” says Jerrett. “Why not give it a shot? You might surprise yourself! The first step is as easy as registering and submitting your audition video.”

Not a contestant but ready to cheer them on? Audience tickets are on sale now at AlgonquinTheatre.ca.

“Don’t wait to get your tickets. Gather your friends and family and get your tickets now,” says Jerrett. “This show sells out every year – the talent and community spirit are phenomenal – and you do not want to miss it.”

Proceeds support Community Living Huntsville and its affordable housing initiatives for people with developmental disabilities and families who access the not-for-profit organization’s services.
