Real Bourbeau passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family.
He was the loving husband of Annie Cotnoir, proud father of Stephanie (Taylor Mercer) and Amelie (Eoin Keating), and the most wonderful “grand-papa” to Elodie and Remi.
Real was the youngest of seven siblings born to George and Gertrude Bourbeau. He is survived by his siblings André François (Lizon Truchon), Danielle (Dianne Thibaudeau), Renée (Jean Walters), Gaëtan (Susan Robert), Guy (Dianne Dutrisac), and Michel.
His love of life along with his outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humour will be long remembered. He lived a beautiful life enjoying his time entertaining and hosting family and friends. Real loved to travel and adventure, playing various sports, boating, golf, cooking, and of course eating, but his greatest love has always been his family and friends. Real made everyone feel welcome and included with his warm smile, infectious laugh, and silly antics. He was truly happiest when he could bring joy to those around him. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Real’s memory may be made to Enliven Cancer Care Muskoka or Huntsville Hospital Foundation.
A celebration of life will be held at Grandview Golf Club on June 26, 2025 between 2pm-6pm. Please attend in comfortable, vibrant clothing to celebrate the vibrant, fun, and wonderful life of Real Bourbeau.
