Paulette Wilma Fisher (nee Reid), age 79, of Huntsville, Ontario, passed away peacefully while on a trip to Portugal on February 17, 2026. Born February 20, 1946, in Weston, Paulette was one of three children (Karen and Jed) born to Ruth (nee Savage) and Harry Reid. Paulette was a caring and devoted wife to her husband, Fred Fisher (passed 2008).
Paulette was the proud mother of her children, Meaghan, Erinn, and Warren (passed in 2022), and a devoted and loving aunt to her beloved niece, Anastasia Reid, and her sisters. She had a close relationship as well with all her girls’ spouses: Jeremy (Erinn), Mike (Meaghan) and Grant (Anastasia). She dearly loved her five “grandchildren”: Matthew, Cameron, Amelia, Aithan, and Galen.
An active member of Probus, Paulette had too many dear and devoted friends to mention. She was a supportive member of the Huntsville Algonquin Theatre, the Legion and many community events. Most of all, she loved life, to travel and to interact with the world. She passed doing what she loved.
A memorial will be arranged with notice to follow.

So very sorry to hear of Paulette’s passing. She was a very active, wonderful, loving, kind woman. I loved her energy and her wisdom. I had the pleasure of gardening for her and also dancing with her. Rest in Peace you lovely woman! Cindy Mortimer
Paulette was one of the most enthusiastic and straightforward people I knew from Probus North , and her uplifting spirit and dedicated work at helping others to have fun will always be remembered as well as her beautiful smile. My heart goes out to her family. I had the distinct pleasure of serving on the committee with her in the past . Her energy and spirit will live on .

My deepest sympathies to the Fisher family. I knew Fred and Paulette when we lived in Aurora. Both will be remembered fondly.
Paulette was a true supporter of live music. She was a regular at the Burk’s Falls 3rd Friday night coffee house and the Sunday Ramble at the Riverbowl, the Smokin Hot BBQ and the Etwell Concert Series.
She was part of our “family” of regulars. Her energy and happiness will be missed.
We all loved her.
I am so sorry to read about Paulette’s passing. First met Paulette when she supply taught at HPS. Always enthusiastic no matter what her assignment was. Later worked with her as a volunteer at Algonquin Theatre. Although we all have this appointment it sure hurts when it happens. Hang onto all those wonderful memories you have of her. ❤️🙏

I am heart broken. We have lost an amazing, kind person 💕 .
Paulette was the best neighbour , welcoming us when we were new to the neighbourhood. It seems she passed doing something she loved, traveling with friends, and she had an abondance of friends. Rest in peace Paulette and I am sure she is with Fred now . Stay active Paulette and get those folks up there active.
