With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Patricia on January 26, 2024, at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville with her family at her side.
Patricia was born on October 5, 1949, to Leone and Leo McKay (deceased) in St. John New Brunswick, alongside her older sister Diane Larson (deceased) (Ole Larsen) and survived by her older brother Terry McKay (Judy).
She met and married the love of her life Allan Stephen with whom they had two daughters, Heather (Guy) Arnold and Linda (Mike) Coleman. Patricia spent most of her adult life helping and supporting others. She babysat many children and tutored at the local literacy center in Huntsville. In her later years, she attended The Friends Adult Day Away Programme for herself and found her “second family”. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the program.
Patricia was a loving Granny to MacKenzie (Jamie)Yeo, Brianne Moffat (Nick White), Stewart Coleman, Daniel Jackson, Brandon Delaney, and Great Granny to Spencer Yeo, Mason Yeo, Brandon Watchorn, and Freya Delaney. She will be missed by many of her nieces, nephews, and many friends and relatives. A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring.
The family would like to thank all the EMTs and Paramedics, Huntsville Hospital staff, and Pat’s palliative teams. And a special heartfelt thanks to the Algonquin Grace Hospice team, Way, and Natalie for being with us every step of Pat’s journey, you two and the entire team are truly amazing.
As per Pat’s wishes in lieu of flowers donations to The Friends Adult Day Away Programme or Algonquin Grace Huntsville Hospice would be appreciated.
