From the Huntsville OPP
Officers from the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a BREAK and ENTER and are requesting the public’s assistance to identify suspect(s).
On May 21, 2025, officers responded to a report of unknown person(s) entering the Community Centre on Muskoka Rd 10 in the Port Sydney. The suspect(s) gained entry to the building causing damage. Once inside, the suspect(s) consumed items of food, emptied several fire extinguishers through the building and damaged furniture on site. The cost of the damage and the cost to clean the facility were not available at the time of this release.
The incident would have occurred sometime between Friday May16, 2025 and Wednesday May 21, 2025. The OPP are asking anyone with information or security footage of the area to please contact them. The related occurrence number is E250644933..
