New sign unveiled for Centennial Park

It seems fitting that Huntsville’s Centennial Park sign would be updated in time for Canada’s 150 celebrations.

Centennial Park is located on Main Street West on the land above the train station. It has a beautiful view of Hunter’s Bay and this time of year the crab apple trees are in full bloom.

This week a new sign for the park was unveiled.

“On the event of Canada’s sesquicentennial 2017,” said Teri Souter, Manager of Arts, Culture & Heritage for the Town of Huntsville, “is a great opportunity to update the sign, which was getting tired and worn out, with both the centennial logo and Canada’s 150 logo. We were able to do that through the generous sponsorship of Lovegrove Construction and the local Tim Hortons restaurants.”

Jonathan Wiebe, representing Lovegrove Construction and Morgan McFadyen, representing Tim Hortons , said it was their pleasure to be involved and help out with this local cause.
