The Muskoka Aquatic Club (MUSAC) had seven qualified swimmers represent the team as they travelled to the Ontario Winter Festival in Etobicoke on February 17-19, 2017. This was a provincial-level meet for swimmers 14 years and under who have met qualifying standards. MUSAC swimmers came home with three hard-earned medals and finished 21st out of 57 teams!
The most exciting highlight from the Winter Festival meet was that three of MUSAC’s swimmers achieved personal bests at this last chance opportunity which qualifies them for the next higher-level meet. Daniel Ortiz, Owen Jibb, and Ian Markham will join the team as they head to the Ontario Spring Provincial Championships and AA Meet, being held March 2-5, 2017 in Brantford.
