Marjorie Marie (Ball) Wilson

On January 8, 2026, Marjorie Marie (Ball) Wilson, of London, Ontario, formerly of Huntsville, in her 99th year, died peacefully in hospital in London, with family by her side.

Marj was born in Embro, Ontario, on July 15, 1927, to Earl and Marie Ball. She was an avid card player (especially bridge), and even picked up poker in the last few years.

In 1981, she and her husband, Bruce Wilson, moved from London to the Huntsville area, where Bruce was born and where they spent summers on Skeleton Lake.

They lived there together until Bruce’s death in 2013, then Marjorie lived on her own until 2020, when she returned to London.

She was always very outgoing and accumulated many friends throughout her years in London and Muskoka. She will be missed. Marj was predeceased by her husband, Bruce, sister Jessie Butson, brother Norm Ball, and grandson Luke Mavity. Leaving to mourn her are her sister, Ena Parker; daughter, Lyn Wilson; son, Don Wilson (Lori); her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a large circle of family and friends. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.

    To Marjorie’s family,
We are so sorry to read of her passing. When we moved to 31 Dairy Lane, Marj. Was a one woman welcoming committee. She introduced us to the other condo owners, made sure everyone was included and felt comfortable. She created a wonderful friendly family atmosphere here. I am sure she has already been welcomed by far too many of her long time friends in heaven.
