MEDIA RELEASE
Construction to replace the Lynx Creek culvert on Muskoka Road 10 at Candytown Lane is now tentatively re-scheduled to commence in mid-October. It is necessary to modify the original project timelines in order to accommodate the pending delivery of the precast culvert and to finalize all required environmental approvals.
Once all approvals are confirmed, the District Municipality of Muskoka will ensure that signage is displayed prominently so affected residents are aware of the dates the detour that will be in place. The road is anticipated to be fully closed to all traffic for approximately four weeks.
An integral part of transportation improvements in Muskoka is effective infrastructure investments. The replacement of this culvert will reduce the risk of failure and enhanced transportation system reliability for residents in the area.
The District Municipality of Muskoka would like to thank all those affected for their patience while these necessary improvements are completed. Progress updates and additional information will be available throughout the project on our website: www.muskoka.on.ca/content/road-construction or follow us on Twitter: @districtmuskoka or @muskokarecycles.

Joyce, while there is no through access on Muskoka Road 10 our understanding is that local traffic will still be able to travel on either side of the construction area. You should have no issue getting to the Muskoka Bible Centre (you would need to come in from the Brunel Road side), but you may want to contact them to confirm.
Wondering how to access Hood Road and Muskoka Bible Center. …
