Lake of Bays modifies Township services under new COVID restrictions

With the Province of Ontario’s return to Step Two of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen as announced on Monday, January 3, 2022, adjustments are required to Township public services.

The Township continues to encourage people to use online, phone, and curbside pick up options to access municipal services, to reduce in-person interactions as part of efforts to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Effective January 5, 2022 the following services will be modified until further notice:

Lake of Bays Community Arena – Closed until further notice. Those impacted by cancellations and closures will be contacted with refunds or credits will be provided for advanced bookings.

Lake of Bays Community Centre (Baysville) and Dwight Community Centre – Closed until further notice. Those impacted by cancellations and closures will be contacted with refunds or credits will be provided for advanced bookings.

Lake of Bays Public Library – both Baysville and Dwight branches – Open to the public for browsing with limited capacity and offering curbside assistance.

Senior Centres – Closed to the public until further noticed.

Municipal Office – Continue to remain open for in-person services with limited capacity measures in place. However, the Township recommends contact-less options through municipal phone and email address.
