The Huntsville Junior C Otters have signed five new local players.

The team welcomed Nick Coleman, Adam Dupuis, Jake Hildebrandt, Colin Jones, and Graeme MacDougall to the team on June 2 at the Canada Summit Centre.

Head Coach Marc Gagnon said, “We’re very happy to have signed five local players. We as a staff had numerous occasions to scout the Midget games in the regular season and playoffs and saw a lot of positives [in these players]. Each player is bringing something different to the team along with the chemistry already set amongst themselves.”

Three of the new Otters—Coleman, Hildebrandt, and MacDougall—are rookies, but Colin Jones and Adam Dupuis were AP players from last season who played well for the team. “Looking forward to having them full time,” said Gagnon.

In addition to the new players, the Junior C Otters also welcomed another assistant coach to the team. “I am very pleased to announce that Cole Gilligan will be an assistant with the Otters this coming season. He will be joining Tyler Gervais-Rolfe as the other assistant. ‘Gilly’ played two seasons with the Otters, leading the team in points. He is a very smart hockey guy,” said Gagnon. “His passion and positive attitude made it an easy selection for me.”
